Mr. Robert W. Martin

Bob was born in Laramie, WY on March 2, 1922 to his parents Robert M Martin

and Maybelle Kunkel Martin.

He was a veteran of WWII and served with the Army in the Philippines. After his

discharge, Bob married Jeanette Roebuck of Birmingham, AL. They were married for

64 and one half years.

Bob was a Systems Analyst with US Steel and retired after 32 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brothers (Don and Lawrence)

and his sister (Doris).

He is survived by his son Jeffery (Diane) Martin, daughter Becky Kaye (Wayne) Hodge,

Grandchildren Tamara (David) Swetalla, Cheryl (Richard) Fletcher, Donna (John) Otis,

Sean (Debbie) Martin, Jeffery (Jennifer) Martin, Athesia (Chris) Davis, DeeAnn

(Anthony) Slaughter, 11 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Grandchildren.

He enjoyed Square Dancing for over 50 Years.

Services will be held at Heflin First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Visitation will be from 10 to 12. Services will immediately follow visitation at the church. A private burial will take place at Heflin Memorial Gardens, Heflin, AL. In lieu of flowers, please consider Wounded Warriors, Shriners Hospital or your favorite church or charity.
