Funeral services for Rose Mary Shaw, 85, of Lincoln, Alabama will be 12 pm Saturday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Dr. Mark Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 am - 12 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Shaw Passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Village at Cook Springs.
Survivors include her husband, Cleatus Shaw, daughter, Ruth Shaw Stewart (Ralph), son, Dr. Mark Shaw (Pam), grandchildren, Mary Ann Shaw, Rebecca Stewart and Ryan Stewart, sister, Donna Howell Watson (Gerald).
Mrs. Shaw is preceded in death by her parents, A.P. and Ruth Howell and brother, Larry Howell.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mrs. Shaw was a native of Calhoun County. She moved away with her family and returned to Calhoun County in 1953 and in 2018 she moved to Lincoln, Alabama. Mrs. Shaw was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. She served as as surgical nurse for Dr. Walker Reynolds and Regional Medical Center. When she was not working as a surgical nurse, she was raising her two kids, coaching ball, and substitute teaching in the Oxford school system.
