Funeral service for Ruby Medders Burgess, 92, of Birmingham , will be 11 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Dr. Rick Reaves and Rev. Milton Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 am – 11 am at the funeral home. Mrs. Burgess passed away on Saturday at Village at Cook Springs in Pell City, AL.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Taylor (Carl), son, Lamarr Burgess (Bonnie), sister, Dorothy Marden and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Burgess is preceded in death by her husband, David Burgess.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mrs. Burgess was a native of Saks, AL, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
