Anniston - Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby L. Watkins, age 89, of Anniston will be Saturday October 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Church of God, where she has been a faithful and dedicated member for many years. Bishop Jerry Irwin and Rev. Don Maddox will be officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at the church from 12 until service time.
Mrs. Watkins passed away October 12, 2011 at Stringfellow Hospital in Anniston.
Mrs. Watkins is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ramsey and husband Charles; son, Howard Gene Watkins and wife Nancy; sister, Lexie Haynes; grandchildren, Cyndi (Bart) Jamerson, Tina (Steven) Ward, Kellie (Walter) Cheshire, Vickie (Tim) Willingham, Shannon Watkins, Brandy (Nathan) Rhea; ten great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Mrs. Watkins is a native of Alabama and a lifelong resident of Anniston.
Mrs. Watkins is preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Watkins; Sisters, Ara Brown and Willa Faye Maye; granddaughters, Rita Watkins and Nicole Ramsey.
