Our Mother, Grandmother and Wife, Sally Schneider Bodner, passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer, on July 7, 2022. Through thick and thin, it never stopped her from smiling that smile that everyone knew and loved. Sally was born in Georgetown, SC on March 11, 1949.
Sally took pride in both of her children, Becky and Jennifer and her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as “Gammie”. She was a devoted wife to Allen, her husband of almost 50 years.
Sally had a passion for fashion. She attended the Massey College of Business in Atlanta, GA where she studied fashion merchandising.
Her friends and family will remember Sally as a spunky and warm soul who was very passionate about her roles in helping people achieve their best style, as she exuded true fashion and elegance wherever she went. She shared this passion with others when she worked at both Kitchin’s and Berman-Gayle Department stores for many years. After retiring, she discovered a love for painting, which gave her much joy and a creative outlet that she loved sharing with others.
Sally belonged to the Temple Beth El synagogue and was an active and social member of the Anniston Country Club, where she was a Masker for many years.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jean Schneider. She is survived by her husband, Allen Bodner and their daughters, Becky Reddick (Mike) and Jennifer Aaron (Michael); grandchildren: Max Paolozzi, Reagan Paolozzi, Jackson Aaron and Fletcher Aaron and her brother, Robert Schneider.
The family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, Jul 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at The Temple Beth El section of Hillside Cemetery.
