Graveside service for Samuel O’Dell Johnson, Jr., will be held Tuesday, March 29th, at Middleton Presbyterian Oak Bowery Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Red officiating. The family will receive friends at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mr. Johnson passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lena Blake; grandfather Alvin O. Johnson and grandmother, Evelyn Feazell; brother, David Johnson; and sister, Cynthia Ferrell.
He is survived by his son, William Blake Johnson (Marlena), and daughter, Stephanie Kay Bass (R.J.); parents, Samuel O’Dell Johnson, Sr. and Carol E. Johnson; sisters Rebecca Russell and Luane Johnson Evans; grandchildren Noah Blake Johnson, Molly Michele and Justin Lane Bass, Mackensey Hopkins, Daeton and Lucas Rines; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Johnson was an avid outdoorsman, and is remembered as being a patient man who cherished spending time with his kids, grandkids, and family.
