

Sara Frances Coppock, age 84, born December 16, 1941, was welcomed into heaven, met Jesus face to face, and finally held her baby son, Matthew, on March 2, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sara was born to Cannie and Frank Tolbert. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cannie Tolbert; her father, Frank Tolbert; her sister, Susie Tolbert; and her precious son, Matthew Scott Coppock.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Edgar Coppock; her sons, Tim Coppock (Kandi) and Shane Coppock (Rachel); her beloved cousin and childhood playmate, Becky; and a beautiful legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.
Her grandchildren include Kaci Davis (Matthew), Alyssa McDonald (Brandon), Kanaan Coppock (Elizabeth), Victoria Yielding (Brad), Olivia Oliver (Evan), and Trace Coppock. Her great-grandchildren include Layla, Titus, and Ezekiel Davis; Chloe, Elsie, and Wesson Coppock; Elias, Ezra, Elliana, and Ensley McDonald; Levi, Joanna, Lawson, Harper Joy, and Nova Claire Yielding; and Emilia and Elizabeth Oliver.
Funeral services for Sara will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Vance McCollum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Sara was a faithful member of West Anniston Church of God, attended Church on the Rock, and lived as a devoted Christian. Her faith was the foundation of her life and sustained her through every joy and every trial. She held tightly to God’s promises and loved sharing His goodness with others.
She loved her family fiercely and without reservation. Her home was filled with warmth, strength, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and unconditional love that will continue through generations.
Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Her favorite song was “Blessed Assurance.”
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed until the next eternal family reunion.
