

Anniston – Funeral service for Mr. Tony Rene Goodwin, age 44, of Anniston will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Crumley’s Chapel Church of God, Heflin, AL with Pastor Tony Mahathy officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. CDT prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crumley’s Chapel Church of God Cemetery fund.
Mr. Goodwin passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011. He was imbued with a kind, generous, loving spirit that touched every person he came in contact with, as well as being a wonderful mentor to family and friends. His precious glow will be missed by everyone who knew him, but he is sharing it with our Savior today.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by his parents, Rick and Betty Nikki Shea of Anniston, sister, Becky Goodwin Pruitt, brother, Robert C. Goodwin, nephews, Austin Ray Pruitt, stepmother, Ona Goodwin, aunts, Barbara (Lawrence) Ramsay, Doris (Buck) Woodard, Mildred Burford, Irma (Doug) Laney, uncles, Rev. Reno (Vertie Lee) Crumley, Alton Goodwin, Kenneth (Eva) Goodwin, and a host of cousins.
Pallbearers will be Danny Harris, Lawrence Ramsay, Colin Harris, Cliff Goodwin, Ron Hendrix, and Mike Laney.
Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by father, Floyd Ray Goodwin, uncle, Leo Crumley, grandparents, Ruth Goodwin, Floyd Goodwin Sr. Essie Adel Crumley,and Joseph G. Crumley.
Mr. Goodwin was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun and Etowah Counties, and a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School Class of 1985. He has been employed by Ryder Integrated Logistics for over 15 years.
