Vonda Gail (O'Dell) Wade

Funeral service for Vonda (Gail) O’Dell Wade, 79, of Alexandria, will be 1 pm Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. David Brooks, Chad Brown, Lee Bridges and Herb Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Wade passed away on Wednesday at her residence.

Survivors include her children, Denise (David) Mitchell, Jody (Andy) Higgins, Donnie (Lawanna) Wade, Lisa (Lawrence) Langley and Kaye (David) Brooks, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Johnny O’Dell, Jerry O’Dell, Truman O’Dell, Charles O’Dell, Doyle O’Dell and sister, Debbie Adams.

Mrs. Wade is preceded in death by husband, John Wade, parents, Aaron and Nellie O’Dell, daughter, Jewell Stephens and grandson, Christopher Stephens.

Pallbearers will be Trent, Gary, Andrew, Justin, Adam, Josh, Cooper, Clay, Landon, Jesse and Bentley.

Mrs. Wade was a loving wife of 50 years, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family with all of her heart. She loved the Lord most of all and she set a great example for all of us to follow. She will be missed every day. Mrs. Wade was a member of North Ledbetter Baptist Church.
