William "Bill" L. Cowan Jr.

Graveside services for Mr. William L. "Bill" Cowan Jr., 64, of Anniston, will be Thursday, June 12th, 2025, 2:30 p.m., at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Steven Frasier officiating. The family would like to welcome friends for visitation, 1:30 p.m., at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mr. Cowan passed away on June 7th, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ethel Alvernia Cowan; brother Steve Cowan and his wife, Carisa; sister, Regina Mitchell and her husband Randy.

Mr. Cowan is preceded in death by his parents William L. Cowan Sr. and Shirley Cowan.

Serving as pallbearers are Clayton Conner, Alex Wallace, Danny Mitchell, Josh Cowan, Austin Cowan, Kevin Hailer, Daryan Hailer, Chansen Borders, and Chris Cowan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Wallace, Tim Wallace, and James Patterson.

Bill was born in Rochester, NY in 1960 and moved to Alabama in 1978. He graduated from Heflin with is G.E.D. the same year. He began working as a truck driver for 30 years. After that, he began working for FabArc Steel for 13 years and lastly, NSE 15 years. He also enjoyed fishing and go-cart racing in his spare time, or just being outdoors in general. He is loved dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
