

Born in Red Wing, Minnesota, Charles grew up in Duluth Minnesota, a graduate of East High School. Following two years at the University of Minnesota, he began a successful lifelong career as a graphic artist. His most recent employer was Lorex in Elk River, MN where Charles worked for ten years.
According to Ken Janc, company president, Charles was fun-loving and a joy to work with. He designed websites, was a graphic artist for print, and most recently was involved with GIS mapping and many other aspects of the business. He was a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to try new things. Charles had many hobbies and interests including music of all kinds, reading on a variety of subjects, and archeology. He often traveled to various rock art sites throughout the country with his father and like-minded friends.
In addition to his work and hobbies, Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and uncle.
He had a kind heart and gentle spirit and will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Jo; children, Charles Walter Bailey and Anna (Roman) Spehn; grandson, Elijah; siblings, George (Sharon), Dana, William, and Margaret (Mark) Hamlin; mother, Anne (Richard) Crooks; father, Charles William Bailey; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Service Saturday, February 10 at 3 PM at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, 3755 Dunkirk Lane No., Plymouth, MN.
