Grandpa, I never got to say I'm sorry for when you took my to the fair and I broke one of the prizes I won. The carni lied about the prize I would win, and when I won he handed me some cheap oversized clown comb, I was so angry at being tricked I snapped the comb in my hands, you were so... disgusted with me... I'm so sorry 😭 I always thought I would see you again, I'm so sorry 

When Florian came to stay @ St.  Therese, he quickly became one of my favorites.  Every time I had to give him his insulin he would always say, "Oh, you're going to punch me again!" I loved listening to his stories, especially the one when he delivered a baby, and the mother came back to pay the bill and said that she wanted to know what his name was cause she wanted to name the baby after him. And when he said "Florian" she told him, "No, I think I'll pass.!" I loved his quick wit and he made me laugh every day. And  later when I told him that I was leaving St. Therese, he cried and wouldn't eat his lunch.  We only knew each other a short time and I surely enjoyed seeing every day that I worked. I will never forget him.  My heart goes out to his family.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Sunny.

I served on the fire department with Sunny for 20 years and considered him a good friend. I also work for the City Electric Department and Sunny would be the person paging us out for numerous electric issues as they arose.

I have another commitment that I need to be at and will be unable to attend the funeral. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of Sunny's'  family and friends.

The 1980 fishing trip to Mackenzie River. Loaded up and ready to go 
from Ramsey MN to the Northwest Territories of Canada.  Only one of many great memories.  Aside from that, Florian was always ready to help us a neighbors.  Many times I would need help with a project and found Florian to be quite resourceful. I would approach him in his garage, he was mostly busy...but would always stop whatever he was up to and help the teenage neighbor kid.  That comes from the heart, and that was Florian.  As our families became distant, he or I would randomly call each other near Thanksgiving, almost as if we knew whose turn it was just to say hi. Only few minutes on the phone to hear each others voice was all it took, I will miss that man, and those calls.   

 

I am thankful for all of the opportunities to gather that the Kuchinski family provided.

 As I grieve the loss of my uncle Florian, I wanted to share a few photos from the past. In order, Bernie, Florian, Grandpa Tony, Grandma Bessie, Florence and Mary.

I would see him in church and he always had a hug for me.  He would tell me how much he missed his sweetheart.  Not anymore.

Florian is survived by his four children, Jeff (Cheryl), Steve (Debbi), Julie and John (Debra); grandchildren, Jeffrey, Sunnie, Jeremy, and Joshua; 1 great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
