She was born in Jamestown, ND, on November 1, 1943, to Louis and Lydia (Marzoff) Job. She and her twin brother were the youngest of seven children. After graduating from Jamestown High School, she relocated to Grand Forks to work at the University of North Dakota. It was there that she met Theodore “Ted” Procko, who was stationed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. They married on July 14, 1967. The couple moved to Rochester, NY, where their son Todd was born, and subsequently settled in Anoka, MN, where they raised Todd and their other son Taras “Terry”.
She loved raising her boys and later worked part-time at Mercy Hospital for 27 years. A devoted church member, she taught bible study and led vacation bible school for many years. She enjoyed volunteering in her community and collecting donations for various causes. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor and never let that define her. She found great pride in her grandchildren, attending many of their sporting and school events and staying connected with them. She also enjoyed lunching with her girlfriends and talking on the phone to her friends and family.
Gayle is survived by husband, Ted; son, Todd (Erin); grandchildren, Tylan, Caitlyn and Toryn; her brother, David (Ann) Job; brothers-in-law, Peter (Cathleen) Cup and Michael (Maria) Cup; sisters-in-law, Eva Procko and Mary Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by son, Terry; daughter, “baby girl”; parents; sisters, Shirley Job Hall and Betty McPherson (Mac); brothers, Laverne Job, Louis Job Jr. (Kay), Gary Job, and John Job.
She will be dearly missed and remembered for her caring and loving heart.
