Jorge Alfredo Handal

January 17th, 1958 - July 31st, 2023

With a heavy heart and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Jorge Handal, who peacefully left us on July 31st, 2023 at the age of 65. He sat with the love of his life as he began his journey to eternal rest.

Jorge was born on January 17th, 1958 to proud parents Jorge and Jeannette Handal in a quaint town of El Progresso, Honduras. From the start he radiated a warmth that would touch the lives of everyone he encountered.

As he grew, Jorge's passion for life, love and the pursuit of happiness led him to America with the love of his life, Eleonora , in which he was united in marriage on February 2, 1985. Together they shared 38 years of unwavering love, joy and support and built a life filled with happiness and cherished memories.

As a father, Jorge's devotion knew no bounds. His Children and Grandchildren were his pride and joy. He embraced his role as a guiding light, always ready with a listening ear, sage advice, and boundless love. He led by example, teaching the importance of compassion, integrity, and hard work. Jorge's legacy lives on through his children and the values instilled in them.

Beyond his Family, Jorge's touched the lives of countless others. He was known for his kindness, humility and genuine interest in peoples lives. His heart was a safe haven for friends and strangers alike, a place where one could find comfort and solace. Jorge had a curious soul and a creative spirit. He poured his heart into every creation and he was a man of faith and good moral character.

Jorge leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion, a testament to a life well-lived. He will forever be missed, but the memories of his infectious laughter, warm embraces and wise counsel will live on in our hearts.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Jorge, we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and reunited with those who have gone before him. Jorge, you were not just a father and a husband but also a true friend and a source of inspiration. Thank you for the love and joy you brought into our lives. Rest in eternal peace until we meet again.

He is survived by his loving wife Eleonora Handal and children, Jorge Alfredo (Doris) of Honduras, Jorge Jesus, of Mayer, MN and Julia Jeannette (partner, Mario Caliguire) and siblings Wendy (Alex) Paul of Houston, TX, Eddy of Honduras and grandchildren Jorge, Carlos, Doris, Evan, Bentley, Armani, Lonnie and many loved in-laws, friends, and coworkers.

Jorge was preceded in death by his parents Jorge and Jeannette and sister Sabrina.

We invite Friends and Family to join us in celebrating Jorge's life at a memorial service to be held on August 3rd, 2023 at Twenty-One Oaks Community Center 9063 Bur Oak Road- Woodbury, MN 55129.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
