Ray and I were very sorry to hear about Kay's passing. Living in the same neighborhood, our kids grew up together. Brenda and my girls were close. When it came time for my son to be born, your mother looked after the girls when I went to the hospital. That was in the middle night and she was a generous lady. We continue to hold Bob, Mike, Brad and Brenda in our thoughts and prayers.

I will miss you so much. I remember your laugh and how hearing it would make me want to laugh harder. You had a fantastic sense of humor and could make anything funny. I remember as a kid, we'd have family get togethers and all the adults (Grandpa Bob, Auntie Pat and Uncle George, you and Uncle Bob, Aunt Lucille and Uncle Clair, and mom and dad, would be laughing it up around the kitchen table! I would think how lucky I was to have such a happy family. What could make them laugh so much?! I always admired how fierce you were about the love you had for your family, and how much you cherished them all. Rest in Peace Auntie Kay....love you forever.

Behind every good man is a good woman...Although I never had the opportunity to meet Kay, I worked with her husband, Bob, for five summers at Anoka County Highway Dept.  
Bob took me in at the county and taught how to perform various duties on the survey crew with a patience few would show a “beginner “ like me.  I’ll never forget how well Bob treated me and it truly meant the world to me.  
I sit here extremely sad to learn of Kay’s death because I know she meant everything to Bob.  I pray she is at peace now and that her memories will be cherished forever by family.  
Bob, you were the reason why I kept coming back summer after summer and I want you to know you’re in my prayers.  God bless you and your family.



Mom,  I love and miss you terribly! This doesn't seem possible or like it's happened. I sure hope your pain free and together with the others that have gone on before us. We will keep Dad in line and out of trouble as best as we can. Until we see each other again..Love, your son Mike

Karen was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert and Dorothy Lawrence; and Sister, Patricia Engstrom.

Karen will be deeply missed by her Loving Husband of 55 years, Robert "Bob"; Children, Michael, Brad (Sarah), Brenda (Jen); Grandkids, Patrick, Hannah, Isabel, Jamison, Madison, and Andrew; Sister, Janet (Dick) Hartman; and many Friends, Nieces, and Nephews
