Michelle is survived by her sons, Blake Benner, Nicholas Benner, and Jacob Parker; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Aiden, Isabella, and Madelynn; parents, Grant, and Kathleen; siblings, Dan Mattson, Randy Mattson; and many other family members and friends.
She is preceded in passing by her furever friends, Otis, Trixie, Bo Henry.
Michelle would say that her greatest accomplishment was raising three sons, and she was most proud of the men they had become. She was proud to be a grandma and was always asking how her grandchildren were doing. She would drop whatever she was doing to spend time with her grandchildren. Anytime she saw them she would shower them with gifts and love. Some of her favorite things were seeing live music, enjoying a good cheesecake, and traveling. Michelle's favorite place to travel was Sedona, AZ.
From Jacob, "I'm going to miss listening to Morgan Wallen with her."
From Blake, "I'm going to miss the most the way she can light up a room with her personality and how she is always trying to capture the best selfies/moments everywhere she goes so we can cherish the memories and laugh and smile about it later."
From Nicholas, "I will miss most sharing my birthday with her and her cooking. She was born the day after me so we usually got together and she would always make extravagant meals. I was a picky eater growing up and didn’t truly appreciate how good of a cook she was until I was older."
Michelle was also a strong advocate for animal rescue and fostered many dogs. She will be missed by both the animal rescue community and her family alike. In lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to https://saveabullmn.org in Michelle's memory.
