Wanda Penrod

Born in New Albany, Indiana on October 26, 1932. Longtime resident of New Ulm, Minnesota. Wanda served on the ISD #88 school board there and was involved in many school and community activities. She was active as a realtor for over 20 years. Wanda enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and traveling. The focus of her life was her family. She always knew that things were more fun if there was some adventure in life, like letting her children and the neighborhood kids slide down the stairs on an old mattress.

In retirement, she took pleasure in spending winters in Arizona. She was very active in the lawn bowling club, cooking and leading hospitality for the club in Sun City West.

Survived by loving husband, James of 62 years; children, Steve (Dana), Shelby (Karin), Scott (Shelley), Karla Beckman (Tim) and Bill Penrod; and ten grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Habitat for Humanity, American Heart Association or donor's choice.
