Barbara “Bobbie” Arreche Gordon of Apopka, Florida passed away on August 8, 2023. She was born on March 30, 1947. Daughter of the late Dr. Candido Arreche and Olga Holdun Arreche. She taught Spanish for over 40 years and touched countless lives, even inspiring others to follow in her footsteps. She was extremely proud that she was selected every year for nearly 20 years to travel to San Antonio, Clemson and Cincinnati to grade Spanish Advanced Placement tests for students all around the world. She kept the basketball scorebook for her husband and was a constant support to athletes, coaches and officials alike for over 30 years in the community. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading mystery novels, scrapbooking, decorating, cooking, cruising and traveling the world with her best friend/husband. She was married for 56 years and was a devoted wife and mother of 2. She loved her home and enjoyed the wildlife that would visit her in her backyard. She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Q. Gordon; son Robert “Rob” J. Gordon (wife Wendy) and daughter Carrie Kirkland; grandchildren, Kacee Kirkland, Kayla Rose Kirkland, Aubree Gordon, and Dylan Kirkland; brothers Candido Arreche Jr (wife Connie), James Arreche (wife Shantal), and sister Candy Ann Arreche (husband Freddie); and nephews, Alec Arreche and Cameron Arreche. Arrangements have been entrusted to Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida. As she was a quiet, simple lady, we will be following her wishes. There will be no viewing, service or ceremony. She will be cremated and honored at a gathering of her immediate family. Kindly post a short message, memory or condolences in the online guest book below, if you would like.
