Doreen Ann Balmer, 84, of Apopka, Florida, passed away on February 11, 2023. Doreen was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England on November 4, 1938. After spending her happy childhood in the northeast of England, she lived in London, Spain, Hong Kong, Australia, and San Francisco before she married Colonel Jesmond Dene Balmer in 1964 and lived all over the United States of America as an Army wife. She was a home health aide for many years and poured so much love into her job. Later in life she enjoyed practicing yoga as a hobby. In 2001 she earned a Kundalini Yoga teaching certificate. She had a passion for smooth jazz music and traveling. She is fondly remembered for her thoughtful and generous gifts, her delightful tea parties, and her exquisite dinner parties. Her beautiful and cozy home, delicious food, infectious laughter and entertaining stories formed so many wonderful memories for lifelong friends from all over the world. Doreen is survived by daughters Delisa Balmer and Danielle Moulds. She is also survived by three grandsons, Everett Moulds, Alexander Moulds, and Benjamin Knowles. Doreen was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
