

At the age of 35 years old, Jose moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1968, the first of the Ayarza family to have immigrated to America. He worked in the fashion district of Manhattan when he lived in New York. Jose’s two children, Pam and Joe, were born in Brooklyn.
Jose is survived by his daughter, Pamela Elizabeth Leone Ayarza, son-in-law, James D. Leone, and grandson, Julio S. Sarmiento. Jose is also survived by his son, Joseph Anthony Ayarza, daughter-in-law, Gloria Ayarza, and granddaughter, Jasmine A. Ayarza.
The other survivors of Jose are his sister, Norma Romero and niece, Themis Lopez, whom he lived with the last two decades of his life.
Jose loved God, reading his Bible, and spending time with his family & cats. His past times were watching his favorite sport teams in the television, like the Heat, Dolphins, Yankees, plus soccer too. Doing word search puzzles and listening to Spanish music on his pad were other favorite past times of his.
Jose was deeply loved by his family and liked by all who met him. He is in home with God in Heaven.
