
Diana passed away peacefully on January 22, 2012 surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Mad River Hospital.
Diana was a strong woman who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She welcomed many people into her home no matter what the circumstance. She captured the hearts of many with her sharp sense of humor and generosity.
Diana was honored to be a full blooded Hoopa tribal member. She was also a fluent speaker of the Hoopa language, which she used to communicate with her closest relatives. Diana graciously embraced her culture and was happy to teach local traditions to those who showed interest.
She is survived by her children Monica Matilton and Eugene "Yogi" Saxon, the late Thomas Mosier Sr, John Matilton and friend Sheri Migulena, Lyle Matilton, Clayton James and Tonya and Stanford Jake.
Diana is survived by her grandchildren Jessie Ray Mosier, Stormie and Andrew Lonewolf, Skyler and Charlotte Mosier, Jennie Saxon and Michael Brown, Cameron "Saits" Saxon, Fernando Coba-Muro, Deana James, Dale James, Diane James and Joshua Moon. She is survived by her great grandchildren Donovan and Emilee Lonewolf, Julious Mosier, Quentin Mosier, Elijah Mosier, Ana Mosier, Joel Mosier, Malia Mosier, Jerome Mosier, Elicia Brown, Lilia Brown, Joshua Moon II, Ruby McNeal, Jessie Moon, Brittany Ferris and Family.
Services will be held for Diana at the Church of the Mountains in Hoopa, California at 1:00pm. A graveside service will follow immediately.
