
Edward M. Henserson Born October 18, 1961, in Hoopa, CA, passing away suddenly and unexpectantly at his home in Hoopa on January 1, 2014 at the age of 52 years old. Ed was a member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. Ed spent his youth and young adult years in the Sacramento area. He would move to Hoopa in the late 1950’s to live and be with his ageing grandmother Clarrisa Stone, and in August of 1999 became employed with the Hoopa Valley Tribe in the Plant Management Department as a maintenance/grounds keeper, where he was employed until his death. The 14 ½ years Ed was employed at Plant Management he met and made friends with many.
He will be remembered as a kind, caring individual that loved a good joke. He will be missed by all that crossed his path.
He is preceded in death by his mother Frances Love of Sacramento and his grandmother Clarrisa Stone of Hoopa. He is survived by his father, Bill Love and sister’s Christine Love and Sheila Love of Sacramento.
There will be a graveside services on Sunday January 19, 2014 at the Hoopa Tribal Cemetery where according to his wishes he will be laid to rest beside his grandmother Clarrisa Stone. After the services a reception will follow at the Conference Room of the Wildland Fire building.
