
Emily Silveria was born in Snelling, CA on October 9, 1925 and passed away in Arcata on December 27, 2010. She and her husband, Emilio, moved to the Arcata area in the late 1940s where she went to work at Trinity Hospital as a nurse's aide. She was proud to have worked at Trinity Hospital and then Mad River Community Hospital for a total of forty years. She enjoyed playing bingo at St. Berndard's and bowling. Emily was preceded in death by her son David Silveria; and granddaughter Abbigail Shannon. Emily is survived by her daughters Theresa Helms, Kathy Knedler and Elizabeth Chew; son Michael Silveria; sister Vlema Sorci; and grandchildren Grace Shannon, Audrey Hanks, Amy Bates, Thomas Ross, Gene Partout, James, Stephen and Jay Silveria, and Michael Jr. and Anthony Silveria. Her family would like to thank Bonnie Tamboury. Bonnie was a true friend who showed kindness, undertanding, and love during the 35 years of friendship she shared with mom.
