
Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Great, Great Grandma, Aunt and Friend passed away on October, 3, 2011, at the age of 94 years in Eureka, California. Mom was born on March, 4, 1917, in Malheur, Oregon, to her parents, Edmund & Louise Ricketts. Mom is survived by her Children, Betty Lopez of McKinleyville, CA, Richard Norris of Cottonwood, CA, Albert & Ethel Norris of Corning, CA, Gordon & April Norris of Stage Coach, Nev., Elaine Lewis of McKinleyville, CA. Earl & Marlene Norris of McKinleyville, CA, and her son in law Robert McCullough of Redding , CA, and her daughter in law Maryann Norris of Arcata, CA., her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mom is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Marion Norris ,daughter Irene McCullough, son Don Norris, daughter in law Marilyn Norris, and her son in law Ray Lewis, and many other family members. Mom was a great cook.
She loved making, Biscuits, Potato Salad, Texas sheet cake, Divinity, and her Garbage can soup that was enjoyed by her grandchildren. Mom loved to sew, making many of our clothes, crocheting afghans, doilies for family members. She loved to raise chickens and other animals, raise a garden and home can her vegetables. On Saturday she was always ready with her pants on to go to yard sales. She loved to have family potlucks, BBQ's, and family get togethers; she loved to go surf fishing with her family. Mom was the PTA President at Clear Creek School in Redding California, where we all attended. She was a member of Tops CA 1825, McKinleyville, CA.
The Family would like to Thank Dr, Bruce Kessler, the Pacific Healthcare Center and her favorite aide, Jimmy a great big thank you. There will be a Gravesite Service at Greenwood Cemetery, 1757 J St, Arcata, CA at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October, 7, 2011. Following the service will be a potluck gathering at Azalea Hall at 1620 Pickett Road, McKinleyville Ca.
