Franklin Eugene Nored

He worked for the Arcata Post Office for 38 years, eventually becoming Post Master for the Arcata and McKinleyville offices. He enjoyed hunting with his son Bryan and grandson Daniel, fishing, coaching his son and grandsons in Little League and being with his wife, of 60 years, and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy and brother Arliss. He is survived by his wife Norma; daughters Sharon (Tom) Deckard and Glenda (Kyle) Gabel; son Bryan Nored (Kathy); sisters Loretta Cole, Sue (Tom) Manion and Carolyn (Leon) Lequieu; brother Howard (Kathy) Nored; grandchildren Michael and Steven Poer, Lindsey (Patric) Esh, Kristy Gabel, Daniel Nored, Kevin and Kyle Deckard; great grandchildren Allen, Matthew, Lacey, Jaxon, Bo Poer, Jeremy Poer, Adeline and Eleanor Esh; several nieces and nephews and special friends Terry Semore, Jim Davis and Doug Schuler. We would like to give a special Thanks to Dr. Lee and Mad River Hospital

Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery in Arcata. Pastor Clyde Belcher will be officiating. There will be no visitation or reception per Gene's request.
