Robert George Kauffman

George was born on February 15, 1951, in Fowler, Ca to Robert George Kauffman Sr and Martha Leona Kauffman. He went into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on August 8, 2012, at home resting peacefully in McKinleyville.

In 1954, his family moved to Humboldt County and settled in Arcata, where he attended Arcata High School. George spent approximately 47 years in the manufactured home industry. He was a licensed manufactured home contractor and worked all over the northern state where he was well liked. G

eorge is survived by Loreda Kauffman, his wife of almost 41 years. His daughter Heather Kauffman of McKinleyville. His son Heath and Erin Kauffman of Central Point, Oregon, two granddaughters Emma and Sophie ("Papa's Girls) also of Central Point, Oregon. His sister, Betty and Bob Wilhite of Fresno and his mother-in-law, Willa Speers of McKinleyville. Brother-in-laws, Carl and Linda Speers of Peanut, Ca and Dwayn and Judy Speers of Rocklin, Ca. Also numerous nephews and nieces throughout California and Washington. G

eorge was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Martha Kauffman, father-in-law Orville Speers.

Viewing will be Friday, August 10th, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Paul's Chapel at 1070 H Street, Arcata. Celebration of Life will be held at Abundant Life Center, 1947 Sutter Road, McKinleyville at 11:00 am, Monday, August 13th, with Pastor Dwayn Speers and Pastor Bob Wilhite officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Sunset Memorial.
