He loved the outdoors and anything to do with landscaping. He was a long-distance truck driver who enjoyed traveling. Alan was a member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church and also attended Triad Church in Greensboro. He was dedicated to his family and friends; he would do anything for them at any time of the day or night. He was also an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He will truly be missed by all.
Alan leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Madeline Kayton Hopper; two daughters, Deborah Clark Novak and husband Robert of High Point, Donna Marie Wilson and husband Richard of Randleman; four grandchildren, Alan W. Clark and wife Traci of Asheboro, Tabitha Joe’lle Tomlinson and husband Collin of Archdale, Kaleigh and Jayden Willson of Randleman; and four great grandchildren, Cody Johnson of Ramseur, Nick Hill of Archdale, Aiden Clark of Asheboro, and Kylie Keeling of Archdale.
In addition to his parents, Alan, aka “Poppy,” was preceded in death by his grandson, Ricky Lee Keeling, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
