Allene was born on June 12,1932 in Siler City a daughter to the late Henry and Maggie Carter. Allene was of the Baptist faith and worked as a nurse in home health care for the elderly. She loved being a homemaker. Allene was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Otis Lassiter and two siblings, Florenence Carter Ellis and James Charles Carter.
Surviving are her daughters, Catherine Lassiter Allen and husband Richard of Archdale; Teresa Lassiter Brown and her husband Kenny of High Point;
and a son, Danny Lassiter of Thomasville; eight grandchildren, eighteen great- grandchildren and seven great- great- grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend Doug Byrd officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Home of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
