A resident of this area all of her life, Christine was born in Davidson County on October 16, 1941 to the late Roy Woodrow Baker and Ruth McCann Baker. Christine had worked as a secretary and attended Green Street Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brannon Heath Young in 2009.
Surviving is her daughter, Heather Young of the home and her granddaughter Lauren McDowell of Trinity.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held at 6 pm Thursday in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, with Rev. Frank Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
