Evelyn Henrietta Seay

Evelyn Henrietta Seay, age 74, of Trinity, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012. She was born in Hamlen, TN on October 28, 1937 to Vinyard Hurst and Bessie Irene Hurst. She married Ray Charles Seay on June 15, 1957 in Morristown, TN and they came to High Point in June of 1957 and together they had four children. Evelyn worked as an upholstery sewer for Stylett Furniture and later Seay-Line Upholstery where she was co owner for 27yrs and retired in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 17, 2000; siblings, Charles Hurst and Agnes Thompson. Survivors include her daughter, Janice Bevan and her husband Ronnie of Trinity; son, Michael Seay and his wife Melony of Trinity; son, Robert “Bob” Seay of Trinity; daughter, Teresa Clark and her husband Mike of Trinity; five grandchildren, Charles Bevan, Michael Seay II, Curtis Seay, Janice Hawks, Melissa Thompson; three great grandchildren; special child, Chloe Ballard and close friend, Ruth Byrd.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00pm in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service in Archdale burial will follow at Floral Gardens Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00pm at the funeral home.
