Joann Lewallen Wiley

Joann was born December 10, 1956 in Guilford County, the daughter of Carlos Ray Lewallen and Naomi Bodenhamer Lewallen.

She was compassionate, caring, and a very strong fighter. Joann loved to make people laugh. Her spirit was light and kept a smile on her face. She enjoyed going shopping with Naomi. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family. Joann also gave much love to her fur baby, Dolly. Joann was a giver of gifts and very thoughtful.

Preceding Joann's death were her father Carlos Ray Lewallen; her infant son David Lee Chestnutt Jr.; her brother Steven Ray Lewallen; two husbands, David Lee Chestnutt Sr. and Thomas Marvin Wiley Jr.

Survivors are her mother Naomi Bodenhamer Lewallen; her twins, Leanne Prince (Kevin) and Lee Chestnutt; two grandchildren, Joshua Prince and Kaylee Prince, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Joann's Life will be held Saturday June 7, 2025, at 12 noon at Advantage Funerals and Cremations in Archdale, NC. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Abbott's Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
