Agnes A. Baldaste

Agnes A. BaldasteOf Arlington HeightsAgnes Anna Baldaste, went home to be with her Lord and her family on December 11, 2014. She was 100 years of age. Agnes was born to Robert Eich and Minna Schneider on December 7, 1914 in Chicago. She became a child of God through the waters of baptism that same month and then confirmed her faith in 1927. Agnes was a long time member of Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church in Chicago and then, in her later years, of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. On June 3, 1939, Agnes married Robert Baldaste. They were blessed with one son, Bobby.She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, and son; her parents and siblings. Agnes lived with a strong faith in her Savior. Confident of His gracious care and presence she didn"t complain as her health declined. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed telling stories of her childhood. She opened her heart and home to guests and friends alike who always found a gracious hostess. Many charities were blessed by her generosity and work. Visitation will be 10:00 am Monday, December 15, 2014 until the 11:00 am Christian Funeral Service at St. John the Beloved Chapel, 800 West Oakton Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Pastor John Eich, Agnes" nephew, will conduct the service. Interment will be at the St. Lucas cemetery in Chicago.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Agnes" honor may be given to The Lutheran Hour Ministries, 660 Mason Ridge Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141 or Heartland Hospice, 2100 Sander Road, Ste. #100, Northbrook, IL 60062.
