Allen Curtis McClellan

Grew up in Brunswick, Ohio. Graduated from Brunswick High School and Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. Honorably discharged from the Army during the Korean War where he served as court reporter in Germany with the 1st Infantry Division. He worked 40 years with IBM in Cleveland, Minneapolis and Chicago. He lived 42 years in Arlington Heights, Illinois prior to living in Bartlett, Illinois. 

He volunteered his time over the years with Trinity United Methodist Church & COMPASS. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, gardening and spending time with his family. 

Allen is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 73 years, Faye; children, Scott (Lori), Jeff (Carolyn) and Keith (Wendi); grandchildren, Joel (Kristi), Erin, Megan (Christopher), Andrea (Alexander), Kristen, Wade (Ella), Grayden and James; great grandchildren, Bradley, Madison, Corban, Eliza, Johanna, Autumn, Amelia and Clara.

Proceeded in death by his parents and siblings, Frank and Irene and daughter Lisa (Kirk). 

A visitation for Allen will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 605 W. Golf Road, Mount Prospect, Illinois, 60056. Inurnment will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church.
