

Ann Shanley Kaye, 92, was born on April 2, 1931, in Oak Park, IL to Howard and Lu Mary Savage. She died on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, peacefully at home.
Ann was a loving, giving and devoted mother to 9 children and their spouses, Floyd's children, and countless grandchildren. She had a lifelong love of the Chicago Cubs, and waited almost a lifetime for the CUBS to win a World Series. Ann and Floyd married in 1984, and together they loved being around family and celebrating all of the special events that come with such a large crew. Ann was always in the kitchen! She loved to cook and bake - she was famous for her cookies & brownies. She was a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of the Wayside, volunteered her time with the needs of the church including PADS, and generously supported many charities that were close to her heart.
Ann is survived by her children Mark (Kathy) Shanley, Mary Lou Fajman, Kate Best, Jean (Larry) Appel, Thomas Shanley, Margaret (Perry Canestraro) Curtin, Elizabeth Shanley and step-daughter, Michelle (John Sauber) Guajardo; grandchildren William, Karen, Margaret (Matt), Rosemary, Matthew, Danielle, Jayce (Gwynne), Joshua, Aaron (Jessica), Molly, Lauren, Charlie, Michael, Patrick, Samantha, Tyler (Allison), Emilee, Jessica; and her great grandchildren Aurora, Rupert, Liam and Caysen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lu Mary; her husband, Floyd, her sons, John and Michael; her brother, Jay, and her grandson, Patrick.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am Monday, April 17, 2023, at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment following at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
