Anthony (Tony) Viola was born on November 18, 1956, in Chicago, IL, to Joseph Viola and Dorothy (nee Jaeger) Viola. He died Friday, August 12, 2022, in Arlington Heights.
Tony enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends, especially his grandson Joey, and was loved by all. He had an incredible sense of humor that he used at every opportunity to make those around him laugh. Most commonly he would bring out a smile or laugh by one of his many impersonations, funny voices, jokes, or stories. Tony was an upbeat and positive person who made the most of every situation. He loved to be outdoors, fish, cook, watch baseball, and was strong in his Catholic faith. Mr. Viola was the proud owner and operator of Windsor Sign Systems of Arlington Heights for over 20 years.
Anthony is survived by wife Susan Viola (nee Cebulski); children, Brent Viola and Michelle (Anthony) Ingraffia; grandson, Joseph Ingraffia; siblings, Joseph Viola, Ann (Dmitar) Kosanovic, Gerard (Mary) Viola, Mary (Mark) LaRose, Matthew Viola, Walter Viola, Dolores (Timothy) Van Hiel, Genevieve (Luigi) Pellegrino, Elizabeth Viola, Christopher Viola, and Neil (Wendi) Viola; sister-in-laws, Jane Viola, Janine Viola, and Adriana Leon; and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers will be at 10:45 am on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Gluekert funeral home with procession to St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass at St. Edna Catholic Church will be at 11:30 am on Monday August 15, 2022.
Interment will be private.
