Araceli Segundo was born April 10, 1945 in the Philippines to Porfirio and Remigia (nee Lucero) Allarde. She passed away June 11, 2019 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Wife. Mother. Devout Catholic. Doctor. Araceli touched the lives of everyone she met via her practice in medicine throughout the Philippines, the West Indies, and the United States. She lived her entire life generously placing the needs of others, before the needs of herself. She was the definition of selfless that we all strive to be.

Araceli is survived by her husband Elmer M. Segundo; her children Vahlen Segundo Espiritu and Shawn Patrick Allarde Segundo; her sister Aurora Allarde Atienza; her grand dogs Tsunami, Bushi and Lennon.

Araceli is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Sunday June 16, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayer 9:15 AM, Monday June 17, 2019 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment private.
