Catherine Dorothy Rooney

Dorothy worked for Marshall Field and Company for nearly 30 years.  Her hobbies included playing golf and watching her beloved Blackhawks and Cubs.  Her true love was being surrounded by her family and watching her grandchildren grow. 

 Dorothy is survived by her children Richard (Janet) Rooney, Roberta (Tom Doughten) Rooney, John (Wendy) Rooney and Jim (Judy) Rooney; her grandchildren Kristin, Suzanne, John, James, Lauren, Michael and Rocco; her sister Patricia Donnelly and by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband John J. Rooney; her sisters Adelaide (late Frank) Kelly and Jean Hebert and by her parents. 

Visitation Thursday January 11, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 700 S. Meier Road, Mount Prospect.  Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
