Catherine H. Sokal was born on October 5, 1926 in Chicago to John and Katherine (nee Wojnicka) Koperny. She died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Sokal worked as a Claims Assistant for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
Catherine is survived by her sons, Glen J. Sokal and Gary M. (Jayne) Sokal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zane W. Sokal, her parents; and siblings, Joseph, Stanley, John, Todd,, Rose, Mamie, Sophie, Jenny and Anna.
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights and Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00am until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
