Catherine Mary Stephens

Of Prospect Heights  

Catherine Mary Stephens, long time resident of Prospect Heights, peacefully left this world on May 24, 2018. Born January 6, 1927 in Chicago, she met and married James Samuel Stephens and together they built a loving and happy home for themselves and their eight children. 

Catherine is survived by her children Patricia, Michael (Emily), Thomas, Maureen (Colin) Meyers, Joseph, Sandra (Ed) Kruse and by her brother Joseph Collinet. She was a proud grandmother of 11, one great grandchild and an honorary grandmother to one. 

She is preceded in death by her husband James; her daughter Margaret, son Shawn and by her parents. 

She was a loving and generous mother and will always be in our hearts. 

Visitation Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.  Prayers 10:15 am, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Glueckert Funeral Home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights for mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment Mount Olive Cemetery.
