Born in Chicago to George and Magdalene Lind, Charles lived a life devoted to family, faith, and service. He graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and proudly served two years in the U.S. Army. He later earned his law degree from DePaul University and enjoyed a long career as a patent attorney until his retirement.
On June 18, 1960, Charles married Elizabeth “Betty” Mueller. Together, they recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Charles and Betty were blessed with four children: Gregory, Kathryn (Jim Tousek), Andrew (Sue), and Stephen; as well as six cherished grandchildren: Charles, Bradley, Emilia, Rigel, Braden, and Preston.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 19, at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Arlington Heights. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
