To Julia, and the entire family,

Fr the last 46 years, the definition of "The Real Deal", in our eyes, was your beloved husband and father, Chuck. As our neighbor, father of close friends and friend of ours, Chuck was a true and genuine person. We share your sorrow and want to send our deepest condolences.

I was so very, very sorry to hear about the passing of such a nice person as Chuck.  So very sorry for your loss, Julia & family.........

25 years of friendship will not be forgotten!  As our back-yard neighbor, Chuck was a constant reminder of what life can be with hard work, community spirit, generosity, and laughter.  He shared his "friends-are-like-family" attitude with me and my daughters, Audrey and Ginny, cheering Ginny at her softball games, sharing his house for Audrey's daily piano practice, and attending special moments in our lives---baptisms, communions, confirmations, marriages. We will miss his room-filling laughter and loving hug and many, many detail-filled stories of his amazing life. We loved him so much, but now he can enjoy a cigar in the shade of a low-slung apple tree on the patio of The Almighty!

I will remember the first day I met Chuck and Julie about 25 years ago, shaking hands over the back-yard fence. Chuck was tall and strong, with a shock of white hair, twinkly blue eyes, and hands sp big I was sure he must've been on a Clincher softball team. He was always ready to help, always telling a great story, and always reminding the kids to work hard, to be kind, and to have fun. With their grandpa living so far away, Audrey and Ginny knew Chuck would play that role, sitting and listening to Audrey's piano practice (every day for about 5 years as she learned) and reading the newspaper to Ginny as she sat on his lap at the kitchen table.  He put in my hot water heater, he fixed my frozen pipes, and he told me the best way to pick out a roofer. I am going to miss smelling the cigar smoke wafting across the yard to my place on the tree-house swing and also watching him help Julie "hang-out" the laundry and bring it in at the end of a summer day.  I will never forget Chuck...because he will still be there in spirit for me and my girls.    Thank you, Julie and all the Petrovskis, for graciously sharing Chuck with us for so many years.
