Corrine Skalski

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Corrine “Butch” Skalski (Huntley, Illinois). She passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2023 at the age of 84. Corrine is survived by her loving husband Chet of 65 years and her sister Barbara (Arnold) Robinson. She was preceded in death by her dear parents Sheley and Irene Bailey as well as brother Donald Bailey. She is survived by her children JoAnn Skalski (Connie), Susan Burton, Michael (Eileen) Skalski. Grandchildren Riley Skalski, Stevie Burton and Payton Skalski, and preceded in death by granddaughter Sammie Jo Burton. She was also the dear aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and dear friends, especially Patti Bleau, Steve Burton, Jack and Jo Basquel and her pet dog “Moose”. She spent many years working in the attendance office at East Leyden High School making a difference for many students. She will live on in the hearts of many for years to come.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Corrine that will be held Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 434 West Park Street, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60005. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
