Daniel Alan "Auggie" Schultz

Daniel Alan Schultz “Auggie”, 57, of Los Lunas, NM, passed away Tuesday July 19th, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Des Plaines, IL on May 27, 1965, to Joseph Raleigh and Doris Arlene Schultz.

Daniel grew up in Rolling Meadows, IL and was a 1983 Rolling Meadows High School graduate. Daniel moved to Los Lunas, NM in the early 1990’s. He was a music enthusiast and enjoyed going to concerts, singing, and dancing. He loved books and movies and was always excited about the newest release. Daniel loved flowers, he worked as a florist throughout his life making the most beautiful arrangements. He created beautiful holiday displays, with his favorite being Halloween. He put such love into everything he did and it always had that special “Dan” touch. His creativity in this world was unmatched. Daniel had a zest for life and a love for fun.

Daniel loved his family, especially his mother, Doris. He held a deep love for his two sisters Lauren and Rachel as well as his nieces, Emily, Cassandra, and Rhianna. Daniel also had many great nieces and nephews whom he adored. He cherished his longtime friends Jeff Tanner, Lisa, Felicia, Mike, and Jeff Durham. He was a rare gem to all that knew him and he will be deeply missed.

Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his father Joseph R Schultz. He is survived by his mother, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A committal service will be held on Friday August 5th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
