David Elliott WalshOf Buffalo GroveDavid Elliott Walsh was born on February 16, 1989 in Arlington Heights to Michael and Kris (nee Bausch) Walsh. A man with a heart of gold, he departed this earthly life to meet the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Buffalo Grove. It is ironic that someone with such a big heart would ultimately be taken from us due to a heart condition which he had been diagnosed with at birth that had apparently returned. His heart of gold gave out and now his passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who deeply loved him.David lived his entire life in Buffalo Grove, graduating from B.G.H.S. in 2007. He had earned several computer certifications as well as his Associates" Degree in Network Administration from Harper College. David was employed as an IT Support Specialist at FTD in Downers Grove. David"s passion was custom designing computer systems and was often called upon for help by family and friends. He was a brilliant, creative person and a deep thinker. David"s mind was always racing with ideas and coming up with plans for new projects. From a young age he had such a caring, thoughtful, generous spirit. David was always willing to help anyone with whatever was needed, whether it was helping someone move, talking through the night with a friend in crisis, giving someone a ride, or giving money to a homeless person. He always tried to be there for everyone. David also had a very unique sense of humor. He loved gaming online with his friends. Ironically, he was a health nut and always enjoyed working out. His one vice was Vanilla Coke. He had recently gotten interested in playing Airsoft. Sadly he only got to play one game but had a blast that day and was looking forward to many more adventures. For many years, one of David"s favorite things has been going with his dad to play with their D&D group every other Saturday night. The Walsh house was a gathering place for David"s friends over the years and his parents enjoyed having his friends around as much as he did. Last summer was the last big blast, and the next big get together was set for Memorial weekend. David leaves to cherish his memory his proud, loving family, parents Mike and Kris Walsh; brother, Michael K. Walsh; proud, adoring grandparents Barbara Bausch and Elmer Bausch; aunts and uncles Sandi (Kent) Durbin, Kimberly Walsh, Patrick (Andrea) Walsh, Deborah (Michael) Dodgen, Steven Walsh, and Mardi Weddle; cousins Brian and Leslie Durbin, Steven, Nicholas and Stephanie Dodgen, Victoria and Nevaeh Walsh, Gabbi Jones, Tara Medlin, Trish Larry, and Corey Weddle; godparents Duane Alm and Susan Votry-Kundich. He also leaves many close friends that will always be considered an extended part of the Walsh family. David was preceded in death by grandparents Mike and Rosemary Walsh, and Joyce Bausch. We all love you, David. You will never be forgotten. You will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.
