Delbert Andrew Kalinski

Delbert Andrew Kalinski, age 92, of Arlington Heights, passed away on April 17, 2026. Delbert was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 4, 1933, to the late Andrzej and Hermanda (Meyer) Kolotka, who had emigrated from Poland in 1912.

Beloved husband of the late Leonore Kalinski for 56 years. Loving father of Doris Burdick, Arlington Heights, IL, and Jean (Douglas) Grupe, Arlington Heights, IL.

Adored grandfather of Alexander Grupe, San Diego, CA, and Lillia Grupe, Winter Park, CO. His role as PaPa brought immense pride and happiness.

Delbert was a member of St. Edna Parish in Arlington Heights for many years, where he was very active in his faith and also lending his skills for the church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and boating on Lake Michigan, and taking care of his family.

The family would like to extend special and heartfelt thanks to the dedicated professionals at Vitas Hospice Care and the wonderful residents, caregivers, and staff at Belmont Village Senior Living of Buffalo Grove who treated him with kindness, respect and tender care.

A Chapel service for family and friends with interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 11 a.m. A Mass in his dedication will take place at a later date at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights.
