Dolores A. Baechle

Dolores A. Baechle, 95, of Arlington Heights was born August 18, 1928 in Chicago to Louis and Marie (Unger) Hoefler and passed away November 30, 2023. Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Robert W. Baechle; loving mother of Connie (Lance) Detwieler and Cathy (Charles Van Hecke) Baechle and dear sister of Lorraine (late Peter) Ortman and the late Raymond Hoefler.

Dolores married Bob, the love of her life, at St. Michael’s Church in Chicago in 1953. They were married for 34 years. Dolores was a devoted, loving wife and mother, who, along with her husband, showed their children how to love and give generously, be kind and compassionate to others and help those less fortunate. Dolores and Bob’s greatest joy in life was raising their daughters.

Dolores was a woman of devout Catholic faith and, since 1955, was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside (OLW) Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. For many years, she volunteered at OLW Parish, OLW School and at a local hospital where she conveyed gratitude and enjoyed helping others. Her legacy was being a very sweet, warm, caring, loving mother and wife who gave endlessly to her family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. On Thursday, December 7, a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Avenue, Arlington Heights. Interment will occur after the Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests consideration of Masses in Dolores’s memory and/or donations to benefit Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church.
