Dolores Mary Young

Dolores M. Young was born April 3, 1933 in Detroit, MI to Sam and Maria Russo. She died January 18, 2024.

In1955 Dolores met and married Chuck Young in Los Angeles, CA. Several years later, Chuck’s promotion led them back to Chicago. Dolores enjoyed her career at Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Her greatest joy in life was helping to raise her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Dolores is survived by her children Rick (Cindy) Young and Lori (late John) McSweeney; her grandchildren Camryn and John McSweeney; her great grandson Johnny McSweeney; her brother David (Barb) Russo and by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck Young and by her parents.

Visitation Friday January 26, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Saturday January 27, 2024 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
