Donna Caponi

Donna V. Caponi, 82, of Mt. Prospect was born October 15, 1941 in Chicago to the late Victor and Emily Ackermann and passed away on August 26, 2024. She was the admired elder sister to the late Roger Ackermann, Louise (Mike) McClain and Scott (Sharon) Ackermann. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Roy Caponi; loving mother to Brian Caponi and Todd (Christy) Caponi and loving step-mother to Barry (Nancy) Caponi, and Debra (Scott) Newman; cherished grandmother to Anton (Kelli), Dana (Andy), Daniel (Patrick), Kyle, Skye, Adam, Eden, and Luke; and fond great grandmother to Bailey, Regan, Kaysen, and Royce. She will be missed dearly.

Donna Joins Roy in heaven to plan their next trip to Vegas. She will also be joining the bowling and golf leagues which she will be the secretary for both. The DVR will be full of mystery shows and the iPad will always be 100% charged to play Wordle and Word Cookies.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. We will be meeting at St. Thomas Becket Parish, 1321 N. Burning Bush Ln. Mt. Prospect, IL 60056 for the funeral mass on Friday, August 30, 2024 starting at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
