Dylan Wade Drake

Dylan Wade Drake, 28, was born on October 3, 1994 in Barrington, IL to Terrence and Hannah Michelle (nee Kanner) Drake. He died Thursday, January 12, 2023 at his home.

Dylan was a very smart and caring young man. Dylan felt he was the protector in the family. He grew up around his extended family and cherished his time together with them making countless unforgettable memories. Dylan attended Transfiguration Catholic School where he made the best of friends. He continued on to Carmel Catholic High School ultimately graduating from Wauconda High School in 2013. Dylan was fascinated with science, enjoyed his sports, especially, basketball, soccer, football and playing video games with anyone that wanted to play. Dylan also loved the family pets, currently Miss Izzie who like his immediate family will miss his daily presence and warm hugs.

Dylan is survived by his parents Terry and Michelle; his brother, Austin Drake; his grandmothers, Anita Drake & Sharon Resseger, and Tammy Kanner, wife of the late John; his aunts and uncles Jeffrey (Christine) Drake, Kimberly L. Splingaire, Garett K. Drake, Carla (late Charlie) Rice, Joanna L. Kanner, Rick (Heather) Resseger; his cousins, Bram Drake, Sean (Ashley) Drake, Tanya (Jim) Vogel, Brian Shevchik, Connor Splingaire, Taylor Splingaire, Kaylee Drake, Jack Drake, Katherine (Tom Travis) Rice, Jacob (Dawn) Rice, Ricky Resseger, Darca Resseger, Clancy Resseger; and his second cousins, Carsyn, Mila, Dakota, Izak, Renesmee, London

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald F. Drake and John W. Kanner.

Visitation will be at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd, 1520 N. Arlington Height Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 3:00 pm until the time of Funeral Service at 6:00 pm. Following the service the visitation will continue until 8:00 pm.
