Edward J. Howe

Of Arlington Heights

Edward J. Howe, beloved husband of Carolyn for 58 years and loving father of Ed, Shari and Tim, passed away at the age of 85 on March 28, 2022. He was born in Chicago to Ed and Dorothy (nee Walsh) Howe.

Ed was devoted to God, family and country. He was a dedicated Catholic and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a plumbing contractor, a member of the Chicago Plumber's Union, Local 130, for 65 years and inducted into the Chicago Area Plumbing Industry Hall of Fame in 2012.

Edward is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Jakubco); his children Fr. Ed Howe CR, Shari (late Dennis) Divyak and Tim (Annette) Howe; his sister Kathleen (late Jerry) Koskela; his grandchildren Sara (Scott) Zimmerman, Jenna (Joe) Binns, Tim Howe, Jr., Luke Howe and Emma Divyak, as well as his great-granddaughter Mira Zimmerman; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Dorothy Howe as well as his sister Doris (late Don) Hosler.

Visitation Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Family and friends are asked to meet on Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a Funeral Mass at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
